American actor Jimmy Fox will embody boxing legend “Mike Tyson” in a new series called “Tyson”, directed by Martin Scorsese.
The biography of Tyson would be presented in the form of a movie initially starring Fox as well, before the decision was transferred to its presentation as a series, according to the New York Daily News.
Tyson will act as executive producer on the series, which “will showcase the life of one of the most legendary boxing characters of all time.”
“I have been looking forward to telling my story for some time,” Tyson said in a statement.
“I look forward to collaborating with Martin (Scorsese), Jimmy, and the entire creative team to present to the audience a series that not only addresses my professional and personal journey but also inspires and enjoys,” he added.
Tyson, 54, became the youngest heavyweight champion in boxing history in 1986, at just 20 years old, and is considered one of the best boxers ever.
