The digital platform “Netflix” is preparing to produce a new documentary film about the life of the American singer of British descent, Britney Spears, shortly after the production of “Hulu” a movie about the singer herself.
Director Irene Lee Carr directs the movie for Netflix about the pop star, whom a large portion of her audience believes is being held against her will.
Framing Britney Spears, produced by The New York Times and released on Hulu this month, has quickly become one of the most talked about documentaries of the year.
The film narrates the misogynistic media’s approach to Spears throughout her career and explores the guardianship that puts a large part of her life under her father’s control. The documentary also prompted Spears’ former friend, Justin Timberlake, to apologize for his treatment of women.
It is noteworthy that Britney Spitzer, suffered a severe psychological shock years ago, as a result of which she entered a psychiatric hospital in America, due to her suffering from some mental disorders.
Spitzer faced many personal conflicts that kept her away from the music scene for periods of time, as her father remained her guardian for more than 12 years.
