Copa del Rey: Barcelona will face Granada in the quarter-finals

The draw for the quarter-finals of the King’s Cup on Friday left Barcelona in an away match with Granada, and Sevilla also faced a foreign match with Almeria in the second division.

Barcelona beat Granada in the Spanish first division 4-0 earlier this January, and the Catalan giants booked their place in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals after winning earlier this week 2-1 over Rayo Vallecano.

As for Almeria, the only team remaining in the second-class Cup championship, it has booked its place in the next round after beating Osasuna on penalties and will meet at home with its guest Sevilla, hoping to qualify for the semi-finals.

Athletic Bilbao, who won the Spanish Super Cup and runner-up last season, will meet Real Betis, while the last eight matches will bring together two teams from the Valencia region, Levante and Villarreal, and matches will be held between the second and fourth of next February and will be decided in one round.
